Aoyama is a gifted high school soccer player who has already represented Japan. He is also intensely committed to cleanliness. Headers and tackles involve unacceptable contact, while throw-ins require gloves. His teammates must therefore accommodate a star whose technical standards include remaining presentable throughout an outdoor team sport.
Gigguku
Soccer is built from sweat and contact, so giving its young genius an extreme cleanliness obsession is a ridiculous pressure cooker. Aoyama still has the skill to represent Japan. He simply approaches every play like contamination is another defender. Watching technique route around that limitation makes each match a comic tactical puzzle.
Father's Basement
The show repeats Aoyama's aversion to dirt often enough that nobody could miss the premise. Fortunately, it applies the joke directly to soccer. His refusal to tackle or head the ball changes how he plays, while the team must decide whether exceptional skill is worth adapting to an ace with highly specific boundaries.
