JoJo, Kuroko's Basketball, and Kamisama Kiss gave returning fans dependable reasons to show up each week. Death Parade was the new-show conversation magnet, with its deceptively cheerful opening and grim barroom premise, while Assassination Classroom turned an absurd yellow teacher into a huge crowd-pleaser.
