Freshman Teiichi can see Yuuko, the ghost associated with Seikyou Academy. Conveniently, she also founded the school paranormal club. The group investigates campus legends while Yuuko participates with considerably more personality than a standard haunting. Teiichi now has unusual access to the subject of the club’s largest mystery, which complicates both research and ordinary conversation.
Super Eyepatch Fox
Seikyou Academy is crowded with old legends and a student club devoted to investigating them. Its founder, Yuuko, is also a ghost, and freshman Teiichi is able to see her. Their partnership gives the club direct access to the supernatural while keeping one larger mystery close.
Gigguku
A paranormal club discovering that its founder is a ghost would already be enough. Then Teiichi can actually see Yuuko, so the mystery gets a voice, a personality, and an immediate relationship at its center. I LOVE how efficiently that setup connects school legends with romance.
Father's Basement
A school club chasing campus legends can become generic very quickly. This one has a cleaner engine. Yuuko is both a ghost and the club’s founder, while Teiichi is the freshman who can see her. That makes the supernatural problem present in every ordinary club scene.
