The premise therefore gives him an empty stomach, a hostile class structure, and a name that sounds like fate has already completed the paperwork.

The title promises action, but the opening pressure comes from a power system that has already judged its protagonist.

Fate gets one magical skill, and it seems to do nothing except keep him starving while everyone uses it as permission to treat him badly. That is a BRUTAL starting line. Gluttony sounds enormous, yet his world reads it as worthless. The gap between those two ideas is the hook, with swordplay waiting around a social ladder built to keep him down!
Father's Basement
The social hierarchy is hardly subtle. Useful skill means worthy person, useless skill means convenient target. Still, making Gluttony feel like a punishment gives Fate's power fantasy a harsher starting point than the usual ranking-system setup. He is hungry, mistreated, and judged before he can act. Every promised confrontation begins with a cost already present.
