Synopsis

The Anime Lad

Riko lives on the rim of the Abyss, a colossal cave system filled with strange creatures and relics that present-day people cannot reproduce. She dreams of becoming a cave raider like her mother. Finding a robot who resembles a human boy is treated as an excellent reason to continue the local exploration program.

Super Eyepatch Fox

The Abyss is the world's last unexplored place, full of unfamiliar wildlife and valuable relics. Riko lives at its rim and dreams of becoming a cave raider like her mother. During an expedition, she discovers a robot resembling a human boy. One mystery has climbed directly into another.

Gigguku

The Abyss is an enormous invitation carved into the world. Of course Riko wants to explore it like her mother! Every strange creature and impossible relic makes the map feel unfinished in the best way. Then she finds a robot who looks like a human boy, and the questions multiply before anybody has time to organize them.

Father's Basement

The rounded character designs can make the cave-raiding premise look gentler than it is. The setting corrects that impression through concrete hazards and unfamiliar creatures. Riko's enthusiasm still makes sense because the Abyss contains relics nobody can reproduce. Her discovery of a human-looking robot gives that curiosity a specific new problem without making the environment any friendlier.
